Principal Message
Welcome Message From the Principal
Ms. Sarah Kurdziel - Principal
Dear Dilworth Families,
I am absolutely thrilled to welcome all of our Dilworth Dragons back for another fantastic school year! Since my time at Dilworth began, our focus has been on ensuring every student feels a deep sense of belonging, takes pride in our school, and lives out our key expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Empathetic. Our students have truly embraced these Dragon BEs, creating a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to expand on this strong foundation. This year, we continue to focus on Portrait of a Learner, with a special emphasis on developing two vital competencies in our students:
- Global Contributor: Encouraging our Dragons to look outside themselves, appreciate diverse perspectives, and understand how their actions can positively impact the world around them.
- Resilient Learner: Teaching our students to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and view mistakes not as failures, but as essential steps in the learning process.
I strongly believe that the elementary years are crucial for building a lifelong love of learning. At Dilworth, we remain dedicated to providing a caring environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. By combining our Dragon BEs with these new Portrait of a Learner focus areas, we are preparing our students to navigate the future with confidence and heart.
Education is always a team effort involving the school, parents, and the wider community. We warmly encourage our parents and guardians to get involved and communicate openly with us to strengthen the connection between home and school. Together, we can support our students on this journey and help them become confident, compassionate, and curious learners.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Here's to an amazing 2026-2027 school year full of joy, discovery, resilience, and growth!
Go Dragons!
Warm Regards,
Ms. Kurdziel
